This wasn't a ready-made standard canopy or ready-made cushions taken off a shelf. All the work was done as a custom-made craft project at our workshop in Marstrand, where the boat was moored in front of the workshop while the work was being done. This allowed us to template, test, adjust, shape, and install all the parts directly on the boat.

The result was a comprehensive solution featuring sprayhood, boat cover, RIB cushions, stainless steel arches, hardware, snap fasteners, reinforcements, and custom-made parts which enhanced both the boat's functionality and appearance. The customer chose the color Sapphire for both the cushions and the sprayhood, creating a uniform navy blue look.

An important part of the project was ensuring that the cushions not only looked good but also worked well with the boat’s hatches and storage compartments. RIBs often have hatches under the cushions, so the cushions must be able to be opened, lifted, or removed without making the entire design cumbersome.

For this reason, the cushions were designed with snap fasteners and features that allow certain parts to be detached and lifted as needed. At the bow thruster, the cushion design also had to function properly both when the thruster is in place and when it is removed.
