What we do
Marstrands Marintextil AB specializes in manufacturing custom-made boat chapel, sprayhoods, cockpit chapels, cushions and textile solutions for both marine and commercial environments.
We combine traditional Swedish craftsmanship with modern technology - each canopy is sewn, assembled and quality controlled on site in our workshop in Marstrand.
Despite the latest technology in our production, the core is still the same:
personalized craftsmanship, tailored to each customer and boat.

Our philosophy is simple: quality, precision and development.
We continuously invest in CAD and design technology in imaging to be able to further develop your current canopy design into a new, modern model by adjusting existing arches or by creating new stainless steel arches in-house. All materials we use in the work - such as fittings, rails and brackets - are made from the highest quality stainless steel.
Each project is carefully planned from the first measurements taken on the boat to the final delivery and assembled canopy, where our customers can follow the whole process step by step. You visit us in our workshop or order a fabric sample at home, where you get to choose the color shade from our high-quality acrylic or polyester fabrics - both spin-dyed. When you order your canopy project through our website marintextil.com, you'll automatically receive email alerts for each step - from templating and fabrication to assembly. You can also track your order online with your order number and see exactly what stage your canopy is at. Unlike many companies that sell ready-made templates for specific boat models, we do not work with standard templates. Instead, we create unique templates directly on your boat, customized to the shape of your boat's canopy, the angle of the bow and the mounts.
EBecause both older and newer boats often need adjustments - older because of worn fittings and dimensional changes, and newer because owners want a more modern design, our approach ensures that everything is 100 % precise, safe and perfectly aligned. We adjust the bows, fine-tune the details and guarantee optimal fit, quality and durability. At Marstrands Marintextil, you get a custom-made canopy created specifically for your boat - not just a model, but a piece of craftsmanship with perfect precision.
How we work
CAD technology
Following our investment in CAD and image design, we now offer 2D visualizations of your boat canopy.
You can simply send us a picture of your current canopy along with your requirements and we will help you develop new design proposals based on your existing model.
Our team can either improve and modernize your current design or create a completely new canopy design with updated details, window placements and color combinations.
This allows you as a customer to see exactly what your future canopy will look like - in the desired color, shape and model - even before production begins.
For simpler projects, we use our 2D design solution, which provides a quick, clear and accurate drawing adapted to your particular boat model before production is started for your particular vessel. We want to make sure that the customer likes the design before making a decision to start production for a new design. We always think about as far as possible on an economic and sustainability level, which can be to adjust your existing bows instead of installing completely new ones for the new design, we always try to find the economic decision as well or you as a customer can announce that everything should be newly manufactured such as fittings, bows, everything, new design, completely up to the customer when we make the cad design to expect that there will be completely new bows and so on.
Swedish production and environmental thinking
All our manufacturing is done in Sweden - with environmentally friendly fabrics, water-based impregnations and advanced recycling systems for the washing water.
We only work with EU-certified suppliers such as Sauleda, Swela, and Recasens, ensuring the highest quality and durability in every detail.
This allows us to offer products that not only last for many years, but also respect the environment and the marine ecosystem.
