Terms and Conditions – Returns, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Here you will find the terms and conditions of purchase, delivery terms, right of withdrawal, return and refund policy for Marstrands Marintextil AB (”Marstrands Marintextil”, ”we” or ”us”). These terms and conditions apply when you purchase products or services from us, both via www.marintextil.com and when ordering/requesting a quote via email or telephone.
1. general conditions
Marstrands Marintextil AB applies the Swedish Consumer Purchases Act, the Swedish Consumer Services Act, and the Swedish Distance Contracts Act. To place an order, the customer must be 18 years of age or have the approval of a parent or guardian. The term "customer" refers to a natural person.
By placing an order or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Order and quotation
Orders for goods and services can be placed via www.marintextil.com, via a quote request, email, or telephone.
- Quotations are normally sent by email and are valid for the period specified in the quotation.
- Orders are always confirmed via a written order confirmation or accepted quotation.
- Marstrands Marintextil AB reserves the right to refuse orders in the event of obvious errors, technical problems, or suspected abuse.
- If an item/material is out of stock, we will contact you with a suggested new delivery date, alternative product, or refund.
3. prices
- All prices are quoted in Swedish kronor (SEK) including 25% VAT and 12% VAT.
- Prices are valid until further notice and are subject to change due to changes in raw material prices, exchange rates, or supplier prices.
- Any shipping costs will be shown at checkout or in the quote.
- In the event of obvious pricing errors (e.g., technical errors), we reserve the right to correct the price after contacting you.
4. payment
Payment can be made via Qliro (invoice/installment payment), card payment, or Swish. The exact option depends on what is offered at the time of purchase.
Invoice & partial payment via Qliro
- Invoice: pay within 14 days.
- Fixed installment payment: split the payment into 3, 6, 12, 24, or 36 months.
- Flexible installment payments: pay at a pace that suits you, at least 1/36 of the total amount per month (or at least $50).
- A credit check is performed for invoices/partial payments. Interest rates and fees are specified in Qliro's terms and conditions.
Card payment / Swish
- We accept Visa, Mastercard and Swish.
- Payment is handled via a secure payment solution. Card details are not stored by Marstrands Marintextil AB.
Terms of payment for services (boat covers, covers, boat cushions, cushions, or custom work)
For custom-made services and products (e.g., boat covers, cover service, cushions, mattresses, and other tailor-made textile work), the following is normally charged 30–40 % down payment in connection with your acceptance of the quote.
The deposit is used to cover planning, material orders, booked production time, and other preparations reserved specifically for your project.
The remaining amount will be invoiced as agreed, usually in connection with delivery, release, or installation. For larger projects, payment may be divided into several installments according to the payment plan specified in the quote/order confirmation.
Payment for services and special orders is primarily made via invoice. The invoice can be paid by:

For certain products and services, it is also possible to place an order directly via our web shop. When purchasing via the website, payment is made through our e-commerce checkout (Qliro), where you can choose between card payment, invoice, or installment payment according to the options presented at checkout.
Regardless of the payment method, all terms and conditions, due dates, and payment information are clearly stated on your quote, order confirmation, or invoice.
5. delivery time
Normal delivery time for items in stock is 3–10 business days. For custom-made products, covers, cushions, and special orders, delivery times vary depending on the season, the scope of the product, and material availability.
The estimated delivery time is stated in the quote or when ordering. We will contact you in the event of any significant deviations.
6. delay in delivery
If a delay occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible.
- You have the right to cancel the purchase in the event of a significant delay in accordance with the Consumer Purchase Act.
- Marstrands Marintextil AB is not responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as supplier delays, transport disruptions, extreme weather conditions, or other events that fall under force majeure.
7. shipping and delivery
- Delivery is normally made by PostNord, DHL, or another transport company specified when ordering.
- Once your shipment has been dispatched, you will usually receive a tracking number from the carrier.
- It is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct address. Incorrect addresses that result in returns or redirection may incur additional costs that will be charged to the customer.
8. Guarantee
We want all our customers to be satisfied with their products. For new covers and other custom-made textile products, we normally offer a warranty on:
- Seams
- Zippers
- Material defects due to manufacturing
The warranty period and terms may vary between different products/services and are specified in the quotation or order confirmation.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, UV fading, misuse, lack of care, or damage caused by external influences (e.g., strong winds, incorrect installation, or storage).
9. Right of withdrawal & open purchase
For distance purchases (e.g., via online stores), the Distance Contracts Act applies. As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you receive the goods.
- The product must be returned in essentially unchanged condition and in its original packaging, if available.
- You are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise specified.
Important – exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made and customized products. This includes, among other things:
- Custom-made boat covers, cushions, mattresses, and other specialty products.
- Goods that have been cut or customized to your specifications (e.g., fabric by the meter, special colors, unique measurements).
- Products where work has commenced after your express approval (e.g., cutting of materials, pattern adaptation, molding based on your boat).
Standard goods that are not customized may be subject to the right of withdrawal as described above.
10. Returns & refunds
- Always contact us by email before sending a return: info@marintextil.com.
- Once we have received and approved your return, the amount will be refunded via the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
- When returning goods that are not defective, you as the customer are responsible for the return shipping costs, unless otherwise specified.
- When exercising the right of withdrawal, a deduction for depreciation may be made if the goods have been handled more than necessary to determine their characteristics and function.
11. Complaints
Marstrands Marintextil AB complies with the Swedish Consumer Purchases Act. You have the right to complain about a product or service that is faulty.
- Complaints must be made within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect.
- Please contact us by email and attach pictures and a description of the fault: info@marintextil.com.
- If the defect is approved, we can offer a remedy, replacement, price reduction, or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Faults caused by normal wear and tear, lack of care, incorrect use, or external damage (e.g., storms, strong winds, incorrect storage) are not normally considered grounds for complaint.
12. Unclaimed parcels
If a package is not collected, you as the customer will be charged a fee (currently SEK 120) to cover shipping and handling costs. The fee will be deducted from any credit.
13. Reservations
Marstrands Marintextil AB reserves the right to:
- Typing errors in texts and price information.
- Color differences between product images on screen and actual product.
- Technical problems, system errors, or other circumstances beyond our control.
14. Cookies and personal data
We use cookies on our website to improve functionality and user experience, as well as for analysis and possible marketing. More information can be found in our privacy policy and cookie information.
The processing of personal data is regulated in our privacy policy, where we explain how we collect, store, and use personal data.
15. Disputes and applicable law
In the event of a dispute, Marstrands Marintextil AB shall comply with Swedish law.

- You can also use EU ODR platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/odr.
Disputes may also be tried by a general court in Sweden.
16. Changes to the terms and conditions of purchase
Marstrands Marintextil AB reserves the right to update these terms and conditions as necessary. The latest version is always available at www.marintextil.com.
