Two ways to get a new chapel
1. Sanding directly on the boat
Milling directly on the boat is the method that gives the most precise fit for your new boat cover. When creating the template, we visit your boat, stretch a special material over the bow, mark all angles, fastenings, roof lines, window positions, and stretch points to create a unique and completely accurate template that precisely follows the shape of your boat.
This is particularly recommended when:
• the old chapel is in poor condition
• you have made changes to the boat
• the shape of the arches has been changed
• you want to achieve a perfect roof pitch and seal
• the boat is a model for which there is no original template
When templating, we also measure the distances for fittings, stainless steel arches, canopy arches, and window panes to ensure that the canopy has a stable and durable construction.
The method is ideal for boat types such as Omega, Nimbus, Maxi, Vihe S-21, Storebro, Inter Norline, Yamarin, and Wellcraft, where small differences in angle have a big impact on the final result.
Molding guarantees a boat cover that fits perfectly, seals tightly, and retains its shape for many years—even under harsh conditions on the west coast.
2. Copy your old chapel
Copying an existing canopy is a quicker and cheaper option – perfect when the original canopy already had a good fit. We take your old canopy, go through it panel by panel, analyze wear areas, lines, grid sizes, and seams to recreate the shape exactly but in brand new premium fabric.
During the process, we can improve details such as:
• replace old YKK zippers
• Install new acrylic window plastic (Japanese HQ)
• reinforce roof slopes and exposed corners
• optimize shape at the highest point of the arc
• adjust openings and passports
• modernize the distribution of funds
This method is very popular for boats where the original canopy fit perfectly from the start, e.g. Nimbus 29, Maxi 909/999, Omega 30/36, Storebro J34, Ryds 520 ST, Utter D68, Hanse 341, Polar 22, Draco 2500 Crystal, Vihe S-21, Yamarin 5150, Brig, Inter 6800 Norline, and Johnson 26.
You get a new canopy with the same excellent shape as before, but made from significantly better materials that last longer and withstand weather, UV light, and moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions about Boat Covers
The most common premium fabrics are Sauleda Sea Star, Swela Ocean, Sauleda Force and Storm Plus. These fabrics offer the best UV protection, color fastness, and durability in Nordic climates. The choice depends on how you use the boat and the environment in which it is located.
A well-maintained boat cover often lasts 5–15 years+, However, many chapels can last even longer with regular washing, impregnation, and simple maintenance such as zipper replacements and reinforcements.
Yes, if the canopy is basically in good condition, repairs such as new seams, zippers, window replacement, and reinforcements can significantly extend its life. However, if the fabric is completely worn out, a new canopy is usually more cost-effective.
Absolutely. If the shape is still good, we can use your old canopy as a template. It's faster and cheaper than full molding—perfect when you're happy with the original design.
