New boat cushions for Sun Odyssey 49 from Atlantic
There are projects that stand out - and this is one of them.
A customer sailed all the way from the Atlantic to Marstrand to visit us at Marstrands Marintextil AB. After several weeks at sea, the boat needed an upgrade, and the customer chose to have us manufacture customized boat cushions to its Sun Odyssey 49.
When the boat docked in Marstrand, our team was entrusted with creating a completely new interior - comfortable and durable cushions for both the cockpit and the boat's interior environment.
The cushions were constructed with a 3-in-1 design: an outer layer of fabric for softness and style, a layer of foam for extra support, and a core of cold foam plastic that provides long-lasting shape stability and comfort during long sails.
After a few days of precise templating, cutting and sewing, the customer was able to leave the port again - this time with new, customized boat cushions that combine comfort, design and durability.
The journey continued towards the Atlantic, but now with an interior built for both adventure and relaxation.
Customized cushions for Sun Odyssey 49
Every Sun Odyssey 49 has its own character and unique space. To achieve the perfect fit, our team measured all seat and back cushions directly in the boat before production began. We created a uniform and elegant expression where comfort is at the center. The cushions are designed for longevity, easy maintenance and a stylish overall look, both in the cockpit and below deck.
From sketch to finished assembly
All boat cushions are made in our own workshop in Marstrand, where every step is carefully controlled - from measuring and cutting to sewing and assembly.
The final result was tested directly on board to ensure that the lines, height and fit were exactly right.
The boat was given a boost in both comfort and aesthetics - a harmonious interior that can withstand weather, wind and seasonal stresses.
