Thruster covers, tiller covers and seat covers are used to protect the tiller, instrument panels, seats and electronics from UV radiation, weather and wear. On console boats, these surfaces are constantly exposed to sun, salt water and wind, causing materials to degrade quickly if the protection is not of high marine quality.
In this project, a customer contacted us at Marstrands Marintextil after returning an older pulp cover for his Nimbus Max 1. The customer wanted canopy repair, canopy washing and impregnation. After careful examination, we found that the UV resistance was completely gone, the fabric dried out and several parts were damaged.
We therefore presented two options via digital quote:
Option 1: repair and waterproofing
Option 2: new production of pulp covers
After consultation, the customer chose a brand new canopy for maximum longevity and correct fit.
